Problem: Your window has gone off the screen and there's nothing to click to bring it back and you can't grab a handle to re-size the window.
Solution: Right click the taskbar entry for it (where everything is lined up on the bottom of your screen, to the right of the start menu button), click Move, press an arrow key on your keyboard and then your mouse will be locked on the title bar, just move the mouse. If that doesn't work, click Move and hold down the arrow key in the direction toward the visible screen area.
Seriously people, stop writing "an historic." If you don't pronounce the "h", you better start, snob. Truly a historic day, though.
Here are some scenes from the streets in Washington DC.
"... today, pedestrians, cyclists and Rollerbladers are pouring across the pedestrian walkway. They have biked up from Alexandria, Va., or they have flown in from Kansas City, Mo., and then taken the Metro to the Pentagon. Everyone has a story of some circuitous route he has taken..." - Larry Abramson
Some of us in the office will be streaming the Obama ceremonies in the conference room.
I'm happy!

Developers "Zap Bang Done" have released a web app for the iPhone that lets you connect to your Google Analytics account from anywhere.
If you don't have a Google Analytics account, you can stop reading.
If you do have a Google Analytics account, it just means you'll find yourself working more.
There are six screens to play with:
- a Dashboard
- overview of visitors
- overview of traffic sources
- geographic map overview
- top content overview
- eCommerce/goals overview
It seems pretty promising, and this app is free...but....
The only downfall I have seen so far is that I can't the thing to work!, nor does Zap Bang Done mention it anywhere on their website except for one single landing page I found through Apple's webapp section.
What's a WebApp? Apple explains it on their FAQ page, and directs people to navigate to http://www.apple.com/webapps/ on their iPhone.
$1.99 will get you the Pro version and will provide more in-depth reports and will be ad-free.
Too bad I can't get this thing to work.
A Strobist article from 2006 explains how to make your own grids for mounted flashes - for free.
You basically take strips of thick corrugated cardboard and glue them together and mount them on. Genius!
Why?
Not because people were cutting in front of us. Not because there was an accident/blockage.
There was actually a parking garage attendant who was letting people facing us go, for about 10 minutes. Then she let about 5 cars from my line go, then back to the cars facing us for a long time.
What's the point of paying people to work in the garage if people could probably have done a more fair job of getting out of the garage?
Well I had a good time this year. Friends came over and we talked, indulged in some great beverages, laughed, and otherwise rocked out. I'm not so sure I need to make a New Year's resolution this year. Things are going just fine, thanks.
Maybe I won't be shy.
